Series 85 Security

A high security 2-pane horizontal sliding system capable of providing significant levels of blast mitigation or intruder resistance with equivalence to strong bars and grilles.

    A Series 85 window will reduce heat loss by up to 47% using standard glass compositions and up to 65% with a thermally efficient glass (low-E). High performance brush seals will almost eliminate drafts and ensure much greater comfort near the window. 

    The effectiveness of the insulation is measured by U-values, the lower the figure the better the insulation.

    A Series 85 window set 100mm apart from the existing window will reduce noise levels by 45dB (decibels). This can achieve World Health Organisation guidelines for quiet living and working environments even in quite challenging noise environments.

    The Series 85 window has considerable inbuilt strengths. Manual attack tests have been conducted by the Loss Prevention Certification Board using a range of tools to attack both frame and glass over defined periods of time. Resistance against the effects of explosives has been assessed on a specialist Blast Range using a simulated car bomb.
