Series 43 Heavy Duty Security

A slim demountable fixed system offering enhanced security. The glazed panels are attached with machine screws and this permits occasional access for maintenance. The slim sections can be curved making the system attractive for Heritage environments.

    The Series 43 window has not yet been assessed for thermal insulation but should compare well with the Series 50 fixed frame which, will reduce heat loss by up to 50% using standard glass and up to 65% with a thermally efficient glass (low-E). A high performance brush seal and perimeter mastic seals will almost eliminate drafts and ensure much greater comfort near the window.

    Quieter

    The Series 43 window has not yet been assessed for noise insulation but should compare well with the Series 50 fixed frame which, set 100mm apart from the existing window reduces noise levels by 45dB (decibels). In most circumstances this will achieve World Health Organisation guidelines for quiet living and working environments.

    Safer

    The Series 43 Demountable Fixed window has considerable inbuilt strengths. Manual attack tests have been conducted by the Loss Prevention Certification Board using a range of tools to attack both frame and glass over defined periods of time. Resistance against the effects of explosives has been assessed on a specialist Blast Range using a simulated car bomb.
