Bloomsbury Hotel

Selectaglaze is an integral part of fabulous restoration

Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotels

Described as "one of the most spacious and well-designed hotels Bloomsbury has to offer", the newly restored Radisson Edwardian "Kenilworth Hotel", previously known as The Marlborough, underwent a £25 million transformation and now boasts 174 spacious rooms and suites. As every hotelier knows, peace and quiet play a major role in attracting guests. So for the Kenilworth, situated in the bustling heart of the capital, the need for top rated sound insulation was absolutely critical and any treatment had to have the approval of the hotel's acoustician. The preferred solution is a pair of linked hinged casements each covering one of the window sashes and glazed with toughened glass for the safety of guests. The units, incorporating high compression seals, will reduce noise levels by more than 40dB and the opening arrangement allows ready access to the whole of the window, particularly important for cleaning.
