Selectaglaze helps The Building Centre go ever greener…

The Building Centre

Selectaglaze was selected by The Building Centre to complete a window upgrade to the Construction Industry Council (CIC) offices on the second floor of the building. CIC’s office faces onto the busy Store Street thoroughfare and there was a need to improve both the thermal efficiency and reduce noise ingress from the outside. Needing an effective, cost efficient solution to help provide a more amenable working environment, The Building Centre turned to Selectaglaze to work up a solution with its secondary glazing systems. “We want to lead by example and practice what we promote through our exhibitions and manufacturer showcases, so putting in secondary glazing in the office areas provides for a quieter and more comfortable work space and we make our building more thermally efficient. We have worked with Selectaglaze over a number of years now and have seen the benefits and solutions their products offer us.”  says John Bonning, Commercial Director. Selectaglaze installed a total of 18 units in the office treating openings up to 2600cm x 5900cm. All works were carried out, out of hours so the staff was not disturbed. The designs were put together so the existing blinds could be rehung once secondary had been installed.
